What? - Postnatal Peer Support Group for Mothers (with babies 12 months old & under) who may be experiencing or at risk of developing postnatal depression.
When? - Once a week 10am – 12pm for 6 weeks. Dates to be confirmed.
Where? - SDAMH, 19 Dean Crescent, Riverside, Stirling FK8 1UR.
Group size? - 6 - 8 mothers and 2 facilitators.
How? - By Referral. Ask your Health Visitor, GP or SDAMH. (See contact details).

Crèche Facilities provided by Stirling Council Play Services adjacent to the Group Venue between 9.45am -12.15pm (Must be pre-booked)
Aim of the Group
To address the expressed needs of women identified with risk factors for postnatal depression.
Group 6 week Programme
1. Introductions and discuss concerns / feelings.
2. “What is important to you” and Simple Alternative Therapy Session.
3. Explore issues brought up in week 2 e.g. coping strategies etc...
4. ‘The Wider Circle’ how issues relate to / affect partners, family, friends etc...
5. Alternative Therapy Session and peer chat.
6. ‘Way forward – what is out there? - Information Pack on local resources.
