SDAMH Services and the Administration Service in particular, provide a number of different functions, including provision of information and advice.
One of the key roles of the Adminstrator is handling 'Initial Enquiries', when a person contacts SDAMH for the first time either by phone, e-mail, or in person through the front door. This can be in the form of 'one-off' assistance/advice/information, or people looking to use one or more of the Services for the first time, or it may be a crisis call from a person who does not know where else to turn.
In any given year SDAMH will assist over 500 people through this initial enquiry Service.
